We worked out the special system of kennels, endorsing the adequate conditions for the dogs in middle Russian climate.

Dogs live in kennels from two to eight animals in each group. Groups are formed in accordance to individual features of the animals: in case of low ritualized aggression the stifle is changed to avoid the stressing of the animals. Not less then four times a week each group has a walk (from 1 to 3 hours) at the fenced territory with plants near 200.000 square meters. We employ a team of dog-lovers who can work not only with single animals but also with complex groups on the main territory and at the field.

Dogs live in the wooden kennels filled up by straw and protected by felt coverings. Only 5 dogs permanently stay in apartments with heating (due to age or poor health)– all the rest feel well in not warmed houses. For the bad occasion there is a special house of two rooms, heated by warm floor and wooden oven, but we hope we should not need it.

Dogs are fed with bull meat without bones (from 0,7 kilo for each) and Russian concentrated food (Western products are too expensive for us). Warm porridge from a meat soup and western concentrates are provided for the young, old and non-healthy ones.

Every autumn 4-8 dogs from the kennel take part in long term filed trials (from 3 to 6 week). This season (2002-2003)was not bad – our dogs received 5 field certificates; three young barsois were first introduced to coursing free live hare.
